Our Mission
Pets Ad Litem, Inc. is an alliance of advocates and professionals providing a legal voice for animals. PAL's goals include enhancing public awareness of responsible pet ownership, offering legal assistance to state and local governments and individuals on animal law issues, providing legal representation for the interests of animals in legal proceedings, and protecting the rights and promoting the best interest of animals.

Key Programs
PAL has developed innovative educational programs including a Responsible Pet Ownership course for pet owners, a Continuing Judicial Education course for judges, humane education palm cards, and pro bono and writing opportunities for Florida law students and recent law school graduates.

Ralph DeMeo
Founder & CEO
Ralph is a shareholder in the law firm of Baker Donelson. He is the past chair of The Florida Bar Animal Law Section.
Gregg Morton
President
Gregg is a hearing officer with the Florida Public Employees Relations Commission. He has been affiliated with PAL for a number of years and became President in 2017. Gregg is past chair of the The Florida Bar Animal Law Section.
Rachel Hensel
Art Committee Chair
Rachel is a local graphic artist who currently works as a graphic designer consultant for the Florida Department Transportation and has operated a graphic design business named Rae Art & Design since 2017.
